Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator / Assistant Branch Manager. The successful candidate will exhibit flexibility, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to perform under pressure, along with exceptional communication skills to interact with clients regarding the delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in Dispatch and Branch Administration tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with Data Protection regulations.
  • Manage incoming calls, take messages, and address customer inquiries related to deliveries.
  • Perform office administration duties such as processing payments, managing paperwork, scanning, and filing.
  • Oversee stock administration, including stock adjustments, receiving stock, and managing transfers.
  • Utilize the company database effectively.
  • Plan multi-drop deliveries considering turnaround times, locations, order types, and stock availability.
  • Achieve daily and weekly vehicle targets as outlined in delivery diaries.
  • Update the delivery diary regularly.
  • Provide assistance to other branches as needed.
  • Handle Q forms for spare parts.
  • Fulfill additional management requests as required.
Support for the Branch Manager:
  • Manage incoming inquiries and their outcomes.
  • Optimize vehicle utilization.
  • Maintain satisfactory stock levels.
  • Ensure effective despatch operations.
  • Oversee installations and transport, including safe loading and route planning.
  • Ensure vehicle maintenance, including servicing and tax renewals.
  • Organize and manage staff effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in branch administration.
  • Address staff-related issues.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance at the site.
  • Conduct risk assessments.
  • Facilitate staff training and development as necessary.
  • Download and review Driver Tachographs.
  • Carry out other management requests as needed.
Working Hours:

Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, between 07:30 and 18:00 on a rota basis, with occasional Saturday shifts.

Requirements:
  • Right to work in the UK.
Benefits:
  • 29 days of holiday, including Bank Holidays.
Starting Salary:

£27,000.
