Job Title: Associate Director, Advancement

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our team in Edinburgh, working on domestic and international projects and disputes. As a key member of our construction consultancy, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and develop your skills in delay analysis and forensic planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of delay analysts working on complex projects
  • Contribute to expert report writing and develop your own expert reports
  • Deliver expert delay and forensic planning services to clients
  • Network and win work, developing relationships with construction industry solicitors and contractors
  • Critically analyse project performance and identify root causes of distress
  • Lead contract and commercial strategy development to recover project performance
  • Provide strategic advice on client claims and disputes
  • Manage stakeholders and chair meetings as necessary
  • Coach and train delay analysis team members
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in delay, planning, and construction industry experience
  • Significant exposure to managing programmes and using planning software
  • Strong working knowledge of common planning software
  • Experience in expert report writing and delivering delay and forensic planning services
  • Ability to develop and pursue claims up or down the supply chain
  • Experience in coaching and training delay analysis team members
