Catering Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at beBee Professionals in Southend-on-Sea, United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of food to customers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Ensure all food items are stored correctly and meet health and safety regulations.
  • Operate kitchen equipment, including dishwashers and ovens, efficiently and safely.
  • Help with stock control and restocking supplies as needed to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Assist with food waste management and recycling to minimize waste and reduce environmental impact.
  • Support the kitchen team with any other duties as required to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment is an advantage.
  • Basic food hygiene knowledge (Food Hygiene Certificate preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness to maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with the kitchen team.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the business.
