Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Interim Quantity Surveyor to join our team at John Wood Group. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage bills of quantities, schedules of rates, and contract preambles to support the tendering and contract award process.
  • Work closely with our contracts team to ensure that all contractual obligations are met, and that our clients receive the best possible service.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide commercial support to our project teams, including the preparation of tender submissions, contract negotiations, and dispute resolution.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to management, highlighting key commercial issues and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Contract Manager in a similar industry.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to analyze complex data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software.
