Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with the Head of Consumer Marketing to own and execute the day-to-day marketing communications plan for all PayPoint Group brands.
  • Creating, monitoring, and executing a wide variety of integrated communications such as email, SMS, direct mail, phone, WhatsApp, and print using our suite of tools.
  • Being the first point of contact for the Contact Centre and working in partnership with them to ensure multi-channel communication campaigns are well structured, planned, and executed.
  • Introducing best practices in content, subject lines, timing, frequency, and format in consideration of customer lifecycle.
  • Upskilling other team members on best practice, particularly direct reports.
  • Being directly responsible for day-to-day management of direct reports, including regular 1-to-1 meetings.
  • Ensuring layouts are optimized for recipient engagement and are mobile-friendly.
  • Working with Creative, CRM, and other teams on the development of new email templates for use within our email service provider.
  • Introducing a test program to constantly optimize performance.
  • Approving all direct-to-customer marketing communication content, creative, and message to ensure they are motivating to customers and drive purchase.
  • Looking to introduce methods of growing database size, quality, and improved segmentation.
  • Checking and achieving the relevant sign-off prior to emission, including Compliance and Legal.
  • Being a Brand Guardian for defined brands, ensuring consistent application of brand guidelines and Tone of Voice across all campaigns.
  • Measuring and reporting on revenue and engagement, making suggestions for improvement to ensure campaigns are cost-effective and align to commercial business KPIs.
  • Supporting day-to-day management of marketing agencies by providing information and direction.
  • Ensuring internal stakeholder engagement in all marketing plans in a timely manner.

Essential skills required include:

  • Relevant degree/marketing/direct marketing qualification.
  • Experience in marketing communications - ideally 3 years.
  • Excellent planning, project management, organizational skills, time management, and the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Copywriting and proofreading skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Commercially aware with the ability to align to business KPIs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to keep calm under pressure.
  • Able to adapt to change and redefine goals as necessary.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Social Media platforms.
  • A can-do attitude and positive approach.

Desirable skills required include:

  • Working knowledge of key ESPs to build electronic marketing communications.
  • Experience and understanding of Google Analytics to track and report on revenue-driving communications campaigns.
