Category Director - IT & Sustainability

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Category Director to join our Group Procurement team and lead in an early-stage transformation journey. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing category strategies across IT and Marketing, creating long-term strategies, and leading sustainability initiatives for the procurement team.

You will be the key point of contact with the sustainability team, responsible for optimising performance of resources to deliver business objectives, and upskilling and managing a small team of category managers and commercial analysts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement category strategies across IT and Marketing
  • Lead sustainability initiatives for the procurement team
  • Responsible for optimising performance of resources to deliver business objectives
  • Upskill and manage a small team of category managers and commercial analysts
  • Experience in delivering measurable cost savings through successful supply chain management
  • Experience in building and engaging senior stakeholders and fostering positive relationships cross-functionally
Requirements
  • Proven track record of delivering substantial margin improvement
  • Experience in leading/category planning and management across IT/Outsourcing, indirects, and Sustainability/ESG
  • Strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of identifying and delivering substantial margin improvement
  • Experience in building and managing a team
