Mental Health Service Manager

The Service Manager will play a key role in the development and implementation of the Mental Health Support Team (MHST) initiative within Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health services to children and young people.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development of the MHST initiative, working closely with senior mental health leads in schools and other Service Managers in the children's division.
- Manage and supervise Team Leaders to ensure the delivery of rapid access to low-intensity, evidence-based interventions for mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
- Develop and implement mental health programs and interventions tailored to the unique needs of students and educational staff.
- Collaborate with strategic partners and education staff to build a successful system of support in emotional and mental health for children and young people.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Master's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Membership of a recognised professional body and current professional registration.
- Detailed understanding of relevant policy, legislation, and drivers, including the Mental Capacity Act, Health & Safety, and Infection Control.
- Full understanding and application of relevant clinical practice, standards, and audit within the identified service area.
- Basic IT skills.
- Evidence of management, leadership, and organisational development issues that have had a positive impact on service delivery.
- Experience of successful policy implementation and change.
The following qualifications and experience are desirable:
- Advanced management and leadership training or qualification.
- Membership of an organisational group or network, locally or nationally.
- Advanced or expert understanding of management, leadership, and organisational development.
