About the Role

Nacro is seeking a dedicated Estates & Facilities Technician to contribute to the smooth operation of our facilities. This role involves maintaining and improving our buildings to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily building operations, including opening and closing procedures and security checks.
  • Carry out minor repairs, improvements, and redecoration tasks to maintain a high standard of upkeep.
  • Conduct regular inspections of buildings and equipment, promptly reporting any necessary repairs.
  • Act as a registered keyholder, ensuring secure access to facilities.
  • Prepare rooms for events and examinations, creating suitable spaces for various activities.
  • Move furniture, goods, and equipment as required to support operational needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness of rooms and communal areas, contributing to a pleasant working environment.
  • Manage equipment maintenance schedules and order necessary materials to ensure smooth operations.
  • Operate college minibuses and assist with car parking arrangements when needed.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential. A DBS check will be required for this position. This role may involve physical demands.
