- Position 1 - 34 hours per week

Role Overview
The role of an ESC Officer is both demanding and diverse, requiring strong organizational abilities and exceptional communication skills. You will interact with customers, internal teams, and external partners to offer assistance during emergencies. Proficiency in operating various computer systems, radios, and alarm equipment is essential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring closed-circuit television (CCTV)
- Coordinating responses to the Home Emergency Alarms Response Service (HEARS)
- Handling out-of-hours inquiries from the public and external organizations.
You will be stationed in a Control Room for all shifts, as remote work is not an option for this position.
Daily Responsibilities
Your work will take place at the main office, following a structured shift pattern that includes early, late, and night shifts.

Shift and Rota Details
ESC Officers are scheduled for 34 hours per week on a fixed shift pattern that encompasses evenings, weekends, and public holidays. The shift rota consists of 2 early shifts, 2 late shifts, 2 night shifts, followed by 4 days off. This cycle repeats for 10 weeks, after which a flexible fortnight occurs, requiring you to be available for 9 assigned shifts over a 14-day span. These shifts will vary based on the needs arising from annual leave and absence cover.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, dependable, and possess at least 5 GCSEs or an NVQ Level 3, along with 2 years of relevant experience. You will thrive in a dynamic team environment, addressing various emergency situations and collaborating with your shift partner to identify optimal solutions.
Experience in public interaction and proficiency in operating Windows-based software are crucial. A high level of focus is necessary to swiftly assess and effectively manage a range of issues as they arise.
While a Public Space CCTV Surveillance SIA licence is preferred, candidates without this qualification are still encouraged to apply.
An enhanced DBS Disclosure and Police Vetting Clearance will be mandatory for this position.
