About the Role:

The University of Manchester is seeking a dedicated Clinical Research Optometrist to join our esteemed research team. This position is integral to our ongoing clinical studies within the contact lens sector, providing essential support during a colleague's parental leave.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations.
  • Perform a variety of contact lens assessments, including fitting and ongoing care for study participants.
  • Maintain meticulous records and ensure the highest standards of clinical practice.

Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be a UK registered optometrist with a solid background in contact lens fitting and aftercare. While experience in complex fittings is not mandatory, a commitment to patient care and excellent communication skills are essential. Familiarity with statistical analysis and image evaluation is advantageous but not required.
