Position Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled pension professional to join our Trustee team at a reputable family-owned pension firm specializing in defined benefit pension schemes. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the management and governance of various small DB schemes.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Facilitating all elements of trustee meetings, including preparation of meeting materials, attendance, documentation of minutes, and tracking action items.
  • Utilizing a workflow management system to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to statutory deadlines.
  • Communicating effectively with service providers such as actuaries, administrators, accountants, and legal advisors to manage scheme-specific and member-related tasks.
  • Serving as a reliable and approachable first point of contact for clients and scheme members, directing inquiries appropriately and ensuring prompt responses.
  • Assisting in the creation and evaluation of scheme documentation, including annual financial statements, summary funding reports, newsletters, and regulatory submissions.
  • Supporting the onboarding of new clients through due diligence, document organization, and review processes.
  • Engaging in client meetings and participating in presentations for prospective clients.
  • Providing support to trustees and potentially taking on a leadership role within the team.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess experience in a scheme secretarial or management capacity, along with a solid understanding of defined benefit schemes, governance, and administrative support.
