Senior Accountant - Pensions Accounts

Aon is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our thriving Pensions Accounts team in Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare Trustee Reports and Financial Documents for a diverse portfolio of pension scheme clients, ensuring compliance with FRS102 and SORP.
  2. Collaborate with colleagues and specialist teams to deliver high-quality financial support and drive forward progress with clients.
  3. Develop a deep understanding of regulatory and statutory requirements to deliver expert advice to clients.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with teams across Aon and grow Aon's reputation with third-party providers.

Requirements

  • An experienced accountant with a strong background in statutory accounts production, preferably in pensions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to drive forward improvements in processes.
  • A drive to be a subject matter expert in pension scheme accounts, with a high level of technical knowledge and behavioural standards.
  • The ability to manage deadlines and deliver high-quality work to client requirements.
