Lead Field Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Field Engineer to join our team at Ground Control. As a key member of our operational area with UK Power Networks in EPN, you will be responsible for leading and managing the tree cutting electrical provision team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver tree cutting related power outages to the highest possible standards in terms of safety, environment, quality, operational excellence, and value to Ground Control and its Clients.
  • Efficiently plan and deliver all individual and team assigned tree cutting power outages.
  • Support and drive the delivery of the overall tree cutting power outage programme.
  • Lead and manage the electrical provision team to ensure programmes of work are delivered to time and budget, and in line with contractual commitments.
  • Assist in the management of budgets relating to the electrical provision.
Requirements:
  • Senior Authorised Person with Field Control as defined by the UK Power Networks Distribution Safety Rules.
  • Educated to HNC level qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Broad understanding of UK Power Networks electrical shutdown provision processes, rules, and regulations.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
