Our Team:

We are a global team of dedicated professionals who support the business in the UK and Europe. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced legal professional to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with global brands and retailers to negotiate and draft commercial agreements while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
  2. Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of topics, including commercial contracts, payments law, data protection, intellectual property, litigation, employment, and M&A;
  3. Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate legal risks;
  4. Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations, and ensure that our business practices are compliant;
  5. Participate in local and global projects as required;
  6. Maintain and renew know-how resources.

Requirements:

  • A Solicitor qualified to practice in England and Wales;
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, including the ability to manage projects and competing priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Energetic self-starter with demonstrated initiative, exceptional business acumen, and creativity;
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal clients, external counsel, and the global Legal Team;
  • Knowledge of, and adherence to, legal ethical rules, guidelines, and compliance requirements;
  • Ability to analyse complex issues, propose effective solutions, and understand and apply vision and direction.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in payments, retail, compliance, or banking;
  • A high level of attention to practical detail;
  • Common sense, a commercial outlook, and the ability to exercise sound judgement;
  • Experience of negotiating and drafting commercial agreements;
  • Practice of a second language (German or Dutch) would be a plus.
