About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Skilled Despatch Operative at our Brackley site. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of products through our warehouse.

About the Job:
As a Skilled Despatch Operative, you will be responsible for receiving, picking, and loading out of chilled food products. You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic FMCG factory environment, prioritizing hygiene, safety, and process control. Your duties will include:
- Receiving and storing products in a refrigerated warehouse environment
- Carrying out temperature and cleanliness checks of refrigerated trailers
- Operating scanning guns to work with our systems of allocating work duties
- Picking various products in line with customer demand
- Making up of pallets to a set standard
- Moving pallets in the warehouse using Powered pallet trucks, counterbalance fork lift trucks, and Very Narrow Isle trucks
- Ensuring the area is controlled, clean, and tidy, aligned with our GMP standards
- Covering for technical operators in their absence
- Following instructions on a daily basis from the Process Leader to maintain an effective process
- Adhering to health and safety procedures and set standards
- Adhering to food hygiene procedures and set standards
- Ensuring information is treated as confidential
- Participating and promoting the Avara Vision and Values
- Complying with and promoting all Avara policies and procedures
- Ensuring that the Health and Safety Policies, Standard Operating Procedures are properly managed and adhered to at all times
- Ensuring that food safety, integrity, legality, and quality apply at all times and in all areas of our business
- Ensuring that delivery of agreed SLA standards is maintained where appropriate
- Participating as necessary in appropriate shifts and on-call duty rotas, if applicable
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
- Good level of English and basic numeracy skills
- Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively
- Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks
- Experience within a warehouse environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
