We are seeking a Resource Manager to become a vital part of our team at Kier Group.

Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

In the role of Resource Manager, you will report directly to the Construction Manager and will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective execution of projects that have been planned and budgeted. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing and coordinating site labor teams and subcontractors to meet current and future project demands, ensuring timely project delivery through strategic workforce planning.
  • Proactively identifying and addressing any resource shortages or discrepancies in the delivery plan, taking necessary actions to resolve issues.
  • Managing compliance related to labor, ensuring that tools and equipment are properly maintained, inspected, and serviced in line with current regulations and company standards.
  • Facilitating the smooth operation of the works depot, scheduling material and equipment deliveries, and visiting sites as needed to conduct safety briefings and team meetings.
  • Participating in project meetings and reviews, collaborating with the scheduling and project planning teams, and stepping in for the Construction Manager when required.

Candidate Profile:

This position is ideal for individuals who possess:

  • Experience in managing and leading operational resources within a construction or water management context.
  • A background in fostering professional development and mentoring team members.
  • Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS or NEBOSH, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly with MS Office and SharePoint.
  • First aid certification or emergency first aid training.
  • A valid driving license.
