Position: Contracts Manager - Commercial Soft Landscaping

Type: Permanent

As a key member of a dynamic team within an industry-leading organization, the Contracts Manager plays a vital role in the sustained success of the company and the development of landscaping projects that enhance new build housing developments and commercial properties.

This company boasts extensive expertise, allowing for the efficient execution of projects ranging from small-scale to large, multi-phase commercial endeavors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Management: Oversee multiple teams, including both in-house staff and subcontractors, across various commercial landscaping sites.
  • Project Oversight: Ensure timely delivery of projects, adhering to budget constraints and contract specifications.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain the company’s high standards of quality throughout all projects.
  • Financial Management: Handle weekly invoicing and manage contract variations from quotation to final invoice.
  • Procurement: Source materials and subcontracted services within the established budget.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct pre-mobilization site inspections, including risk assessments and site-specific instructions.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all project sites meet current health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role as a Landscaping Contracts Manager.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of landscaping, including both horticultural and construction aspects.
  • Proven leadership skills with a strong background in operations management.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including effective cost control and procurement practices.
  • Understanding of the practical, technical, financial, and qualitative aspects of project management.
  • Possession of a valid CSCS Card.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS certification is required.
  • A full UK driving license is essential.
