About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Trainer to join our Training Team at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC). As an Electrical Engineering Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical training to apprentices in electrical engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for electrical engineering apprentices, covering topics such as electrical principles, industrial electrical control, and panel building.
  • Manage and maintain physical learning resources and teaching spaces to ensure effective training and assessment of learners.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to integrate relevant training offers into the apprenticeship scheme of work.
  • Monitor the learning environment and ensure learner workplace Health, Safety, and welfare.
  • Support learners in achieving their apprenticeship goals and provide regular constructive feedback.

Requirements

  • Industry-related qualifications such as HND or NVQs.
  • 18th Edition qualification to deliver industrial electrical engineering.
  • Functional Skills Level 2/GCSEs in Maths and English grade C or above.

Desirable Qualifications

  • CAVA or equivalent assessor qualifications.
  • Recognised Training/Teaching Qualification.
  • Internal Quality Assurance qualifications.
