About the Business

We are a leading accountancy recruitment specialist, Transaction Recruitment, and we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our client's property business in Birmingham City Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team, with a focus on financial reconciliations and client financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and clear down balances.
  • Client Financial Reporting:
    • Create service charge variance analysis reports.
    • Input service charge budgets.
    • Manage monthly/quarterly tenant billing processes.
    • Make ad-hoc adjustments to tenant billing.
    • Reconcile and close service charge accounts.
    • Prepare and update service charge cash reconciliations.
  • Support the wider accounting team (including Accounts Payable and Credit Control).

Requirements

  • AAT qualification is preferred but not essential.
  • Ideal experience in property management accounting.
  • Skilled user of Microsoft packages, encompassing Outlook, Word, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
