Position: Forklift Operator - Reach and Counterbalance Specialist

Our client, a distinguished manufacturing firm in the UK with a legacy of over 75 years in the furniture sector, is dedicated to producing premium, stylish, and functional furniture for various environments.


They are on the lookout for a proficient Forklift Operator to become a vital part of their team on a permanent, full-time basis.


In the role of Forklift Operator, you will be instrumental in ensuring that production lines are adequately supplied with necessary materials.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Offloading materials and products from delivery vehicles
  • Transporting stock and goods within the warehouse using a forklift
  • Contributing to the maintenance of a safe and orderly factory environment
  • Keeping accurate records of inventory and operational logs
  • Complying with company policies and regulatory standards
  • Assisting in prioritizing tasks within the department or assigned warehouse area

Working Schedule:
Monday to Thursday; Summer Benefit: Option to extend hours Monday through Thursday for an additional day off

Requirements:
  • Valid Counterbalance and Reach forklift certification (in-house licenses are acceptable)
  • Proven experience operating Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Trucks
  • Understanding of inventory management and warehouse protocols
  • Training in manual handling for safe lifting techniques
  • Familiarity with AS400 computer systems is preferred (training will be provided if necessary)
