Job Overview:

Alecto Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled Forklift Engineer to cover Yorkshire. Our client requires an experienced professional to maintain, repair, and service forklift trucks, as well as provide technical support to customers.

Requirements:

  • A recognized engineering qualification (NVQ or equivalent) in forklift maintenance and repair
  • Experience working as a forklift engineer
  • Experience with various forklift trucks, including diesel, electric, and LPG
  • A good understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
  • A valid driver's license

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out servicing and repairs to forklift trucks and related equipment
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other mechanical components
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation of forklift trucks
  • Provide technical support and advice to customers and colleagues
  • Complete job cards and maintain accurate records of work carried out
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
