We are seeking a highly skilled Disaster Recovery Manager to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure business continuity and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the IT Disaster Recovery Framework, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Review outcomes of Business Impact Analysis and align the Disaster Recovery framework, strategy, and plans accordingly.
- Plan, set up, roll out, test, and maintain IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery policies and plans.
- Develop and maintain a failure scenario document as part of the ITDR framework.
- Create effective strategies to respond to IT and operational service disruptions.
- Schedule and lead all Disaster Recovery exercises, maintaining the integrity of procedures.
- Consult with owners and support teams to define, develop, coordinate, and manage disaster recovery plans.
- Collaborate with the Business Continuity Management Governance Group and stakeholders to test core IT systems and services.
- Prepare and communicate ITDR KPIs and identify business continuity risks and mitigation strategies.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with IT colleagues, business stakeholders, and suppliers.
Requirements:
- Experience with Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery processes and standards.
- Working knowledge of ISO22301.
- Expertise in Disaster Recovery planning and execution.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical elements to business representatives.
- Proven complex problem-solving abilities and experience in making recommendations.
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or equivalent.
Desirable:
- Experience in a large and complex Utilities organisation.
- Membership/Certification of a body such as the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) or Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII)
