About the Role

This is a senior leadership position within Diageo's Procurement organization, reporting to the Global Supply, Diversity & Excellence Pillar. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing world-class category strategies and in-market procurement resources focused on excellence in execution and supplier performance management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Supply Excellence Sourcing Leads in developing and implementing external roadmap transformation plans for critical suppliers.
  • Collaborate closely with the Grain to Glass Strategy Teams to embed strategy into supplier roadmaps.
  • Establish and lead Diageo's supplier excellence procurement governance, with a strong focus on Scope 3 / ESG ways of working.
  • Develop and deploy external roadmaps to drive supplier excellence and ESG reductions.
  • Lead the agenda and strategy for developing a digital reporting system for scope 3 roadmaps and data governance.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external collaborators at a regional and global level, as well as with executive-level suppliers and partners.
  • Integrate findings across the total supply base to drive scale and pace across the critical supply community.
  • Work closely with the Global Category Directors and Supplier Diversity Excellence team to lead the rollout of priorities and projects at a supplier level.
  • Establish strong governance for the project, ensuring visibility and accountability from the working level up to senior executives.
Requirements
  • Ability to think creatively and work through ambiguity.
  • Graduate or equivalent degree, or membership of professional bodies.
  • 6 Sigma / Lean project skills highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Planview and Salesforce.
  • Excellent data, analytics, and insight skills.
  • Strong understanding of the category management process.
  • Demonstrated performance in leading and working on global cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and financial awareness, including Total Cost of Ownership and end-to-end value delivery.
  • Ability to lead Supplier Collaboration/Supplier Relationship Management programs.
