Job Description

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Associate to join our team at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electronic health records analysis and a proven track record of conducting epidemiological research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced analysis of electronic health records to investigate health inequalities in England
  • Develop and implement statistical models to detect biases in recruitment and reporting
  • Supervise a research fellow working on predicting burden of infections
  • Collaborate with a team of researchers at LSHTM, QMUL, Bristol, and Oxford Universities

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in a relevant field (e.g. epidemiology, public health, biostatistics)
  • Expertise in electronic health records analysis and epidemiological research
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

What We Offer

  • Fixed-term contract until 30 April 2027
  • Full-time, 1.0FTE position
  • Salary on the Academic Pathway scale Grade 7 (£51,299-£58,723 per annum)
  • Annual leave entitlement of 30 working days per year
  • Discretionary 'Wellbeing Days' and membership of the Pension Scheme
