Credit Control Collections Team Leader

Kontoor Brands, a global lifestyle apparel company, is seeking a highly skilled Credit Control Collections Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for shaping the credit and collections strategy for our Jeanswear brands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and control the level of credit risk, ensuring accurate customer account maintenance and cash collections targets are met.
- Contribute to cross-departmental projects, ensuring Credit and Collections topics are reflected and interdependencies are discussed and aligned.
- Motivate and drive performance of Credit Controllers within your team, providing coaching and feedback to improve skills and competencies.
- Set monthly targets for the team, monitor performance, and assist where necessary.
- Review and set up new and existing customer credit limits, payment terms, and payment methods based on approval matrix.
- Financial review of key customers to assign Credit Limit and payment terms.
- Daily monitoring and managing of Credit Held orders, challenging the Team and Sales to resolve issues to maximize sales performance.
- Review ledger with each Credit Controller and support them in maximizing cash collection on debt, ensuring an action plan for overdue accounts.
- Promote the 'face' of Credit within the Brands/Country, arranging meetings with Country Managers and Sales Directors to discuss credit issues and performance.
- Monitor seasonal order-book procedures, ensuring Credit suggestions are discussed with sales and customer service in advance of first shipping date to make them aware of any potential issues.
- Ensure correct and timely allocation of all cash, credit notes, and journals.
- Provide monthly Management Information showing performance of your team, targets set, and achievement, issues to escalate, plus actions going forward.
- Involved in Month End Reporting and any ad-hoc reporting.
- Review recommendation on legal action against accounts suggested by Controllers, once all collection efforts have been exhausted.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of Credit Control experience in an FMCG/Apparel Company.
- Fluent Spoken and Written English, with a minimum of one other European Language.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of analyzing Balance Sheet, P&L, and financial trend analysis.
- People management skills.
