Colorectal Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Colorectal Nurse Specialist to join our team at Whittington Health NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with colorectal cancer, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care pathways.
Main Duties- Conduct thorough assessments of patients with colorectal cancer, identifying their individual needs and developing personalized care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive timely and effective treatment, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and surgery.
- Coordinate care across different settings, including hospital, community, and primary care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure that care is patient-centered and responsive to their needs.
- Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
- Experience of working in a colorectal cancer setting, with a strong understanding of the disease and its treatment options.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
- Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines, including those related to cancer care and patient safety.
