Position Overview

Lorien is seeking experienced Senior DevOps Engineers with a strong foundation in Software Development. This role involves the creation of a new engineering capability, focusing on delivering Cloud Automation solutions across major Public Cloud platforms for a diverse range of Public Sector clients.

Due to the sensitive nature of the projects, candidates must be eligible for UK National Security Vetting. This typically requires a minimum of five years of residency in the UK and UK nationality or dual nationality. Applications will not progress if these criteria are not met.

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess a robust background in Software Development and demonstrate proficiency in coding and scripting. Additionally, experience in mentoring junior engineers and ensuring quality in their work is essential.

Key qualifications include:

  • Proven experience in constructing infrastructure with a DevOps approach across major public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Expertise in distributed systems and the capability to develop secure cloud solutions at scale.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with effective communication abilities to engage clients.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Github Actions and CircleCI.
  • Experience in implementing infrastructure testing within deployment pipelines.
  • Understanding of database systems and their models.
  • Ability to contribute to and utilize open-source technologies.
  • Familiarity with test automation practices.
