We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our physiotherapy and OT team, you will be responsible for providing patient-centered care and support to inpatients on the acute medical and surgical wards.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate the functional needs of patients to facilitate safe and timely hospital discharge.
- Provide equipment and support to increase independence and wellbeing in the discharge environment.
- Liaise with families, carers, agencies, and community resources to ensure patients' needs and wishes are recognized, supported, and met.
- Contribute to service development and improvement through quality improvement projects, self-development, and continuous review of practice.
