Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Glasgow. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with learning disabilities and autism to live independently and participate in community activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered care and support to individuals with learning disabilities and autism
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care and household chores
  • Encourage and support individuals to participate in community activities, such as swimming, local walks, and cinema
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, their families, and other stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure high-quality care and support
Requirements
  • Experience of supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Resilience and patience when working with individuals who may exhibit challenging behavior
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment
