Job Title: Senior Highways and Transport Planner

Huphuphup is seeking an experienced Transport Planning Consultant to join our team in Basingstoke, Solent. As a Senior Highways and Transport Planner, you will be responsible for leading transport development planning projects, working with multi-discipline teams, and managing project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement transport plans for residential, commercial, retail, and leisure developments
  • Manage and coordinate with other consultancies and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Prepare and review technical documents, including Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and Environmental Statement Chapters
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, including Highway Authorities, and pursue business development opportunities
  • Manage project budgets and prepare fee proposals for new projects
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in transport development planning, either in consultancy or a local authority
  • Strong understanding of transport planning principles, highway design, and MfS, DMRB, LTN1/20 requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Experience with Junctions 10 and LinSig software, as well as knowledge of Active Travel England and Healthy Streets requirements
