About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled Customs and Export Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth cross-border trade, serving a diverse customer base that includes car and vehicle parts, retail, and media sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Completing forms for HMRC Amendments and accurately filling out and submitting necessary forms for amendments and updates related to customs processes.
  • Data Entry into the TSS System, utilizing the TSS (Trader Support Service) system for entry summary and supplementary declarations.
  • Ensuring data accuracy and compliance with regulations while handling UK export customs entries, including documentation and compliance checks.
  • Collaborating with the team internally who oversee all shipments from the UK to Ireland.
  • Providing a first-class service for all internal and external customers.
Requirements
  • Experience in an export and import environment/customs.
  • Great attention to detail for precise data entry and adherence to customs regulations.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and relevant authorities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, although other arrangements can be discussed.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Salary between £28,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience.
  • 20 days plus bank holidays (increasing to 25 days after 5 years and 30 days after 10 years).
