We are dedicated to ensuring the delivery of exceptional preschool programs and adherence to early childhood education standards across various initiatives through consistent, ongoing support to classroom personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in early childhood education or a related field. Other relevant advanced degrees may also be considered.
  • A minimum of five years of pertinent professional experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Google Suite and open to learning additional technological platforms.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret educational data, particularly in relation to disparities in student achievement based on race, ethnicity, and socio-economic factors.
  • Collaborative approach to working with a diverse range of stakeholders, including educational representatives, community partners, educators, students, and families.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development that reflects current research in early childhood education.
  • Dedication to principles of equity, social justice, and inclusion in all professional practices.
  • Advocacy for the significance of Early Childhood Education and the advancement of the field.
  • Self-driven team player capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.
  • Bilingual capabilities are highly valued.

Prior to or immediately following employment, the consultant must acquire:

  • Familiarity with the Early Childhood Standards of Quality for Pre-Kindergarten.
  • Understanding of early childhood program requirements as outlined in relevant implementation manuals.
  • Knowledge of state regulations governing child care facilities.
  • Formal training in approved developmental screening tools, comprehensive curricula, authentic child assessment methods, and program evaluation instruments.
  • Awareness of essential instructional practices in early literacy and mathematics.
  • Status as a certified observer in relevant assessment tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with educational teams to ensure compliance with grant requirements, fidelity to curriculum, and a high-quality preschool experience for children.
  • Conduct observations and provide constructive feedback to educational teams on a regular basis.
  • Deliver monthly coaching sessions tailored to the professional growth plans of teaching teams, which may include observing and providing feedback on instructional techniques, modeling strategies, and facilitating professional development resources.
  • Oversee the quality and quantity of data entered into child assessment tools by teaching teams, supporting ongoing analysis of child progress to enhance parent partnerships and instructional planning.
  • Plan and engage in professional learning committees and development opportunities for early childhood program staff based on identified needs.
  • Work in partnership with educators, families, and support staff to provide effective, research-based behavioral support.
  • Act as a liaison between educational organizations and the early childhood community, advocating for local programs.
  • Utilize individual expertise to benefit the overall program.
