Mint Velvet is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Merchandise Support Specialist to join our dynamic Merchandising team. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to our Merchandising team and assist with the planning and development of the department.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Merchandiser to maximize the profitability of the ranges, stores, and digital business, and to deliver in-season actions to maximize profit opportunities.
- Create and maintain an accurate intake and delivery schedule.
- Check and maintain systems to ensure delivery performance, including dealing with deliveries.
- Complete weekly analysis of department, product, and store performance to establish trading patterns.
- Identify best and worst sellers and make recommendations.
- Review performance at line, category, and department level each week, reacting to sales patterns and maximizing profit opportunity.
- Manage any amendments to the product (cost price, selling price, color, delivery) on the system.
- Manage an accurate intake and delivery schedule, while managing relations with Buying, Branch Merchandising, and Freight Forwarders.
- Strong numeracy and math skills.
- Experience using MS Excel, ideally to an intermediate level.
- Brilliantly organized with the ability to prioritize your workload to get the job done to the highest standards.
- Highly numerical and data-driven individual who takes a collaborative approach to work, focusing on strong relationship building.
- Excellent communication skills and able to communicate effectively with people at all levels, and influence effectively.
- Resilient and able to adapt to change, focusing on solutions not problems.
