About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Manager to lead our shop team in Frome King Street. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and maintaining a high level of store appearance and organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and motivate a team of sales staff and volunteers to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the shop, including stock management, visual merchandising, and cash handling.
  • Ensure the shop is well-stocked, visually appealing, and meets the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and customer engagement.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, donors, and volunteers to promote the shop and its products.
  • Monitor and control shop expenses, including stock, utilities, and other overheads.
  • Collaborate with the retail team to achieve business objectives and support the overall mission of Dorothy House.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a charity shop environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on providing a positive and engaging shopping experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and weekends.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with cash handling.
