About the Role:

Connex Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support a child with special education needs. The successful candidate will be required to assist and aid the child throughout their education journey.

Assignment Details:

This is a full-time role with an immediate start date. The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the child and the education team to provide support and assistance.

Person Specification:
  • Experience working with young people in a school setting or similar environment
  • Experience working at care homes, trained in moving and handling
  • Experience working with children with complex needs, sensory feeding difficulties, and ability to support therapeutic inputs
  • Confidence in dealing with vulnerable children in a delicate manner
  • Ability to work well with challenging behaviour
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Willingness to undergo continual professional training
  • Reliability and commitment to working within an education environment
  • Able to work under pressure effectively and reflect in action
  • Ambitious and enthusiastic with a 'can-do attitude' and a cracking sense of humour
