About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Analyst to join our team at Yankee Candle. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for analyzing transportation spend and developing strategies to improve carrier efficiency and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate monthly transportation costs to identify opportunities for cost savings and propose initiatives to improve carrier efficiency.
- Develop and maintain reports using MS Excel and Power BI to track key performance indicators and provide insights to stakeholders.
- Build and maintain a European Cost to Service Analysis matrix to provide a comprehensive view of transportation costs and service levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement transportation strategies that align with business objectives.
- Assist in the development of RFQs and analyze results to make recommendations for transportation providers.
- Provide data-driven insights to support business decisions and drive process improvements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a distribution or transportation environment with a strong understanding of transportation costs and logistics.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
