Job Overview

This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in regulations and derivatives to advance their careers within a prestigious financial institution.

As a Senior Associate in the Asset Management Operations Regulatory Reporting team, you will play a crucial role in executing business-as-usual (BAU) reporting processes while remaining informed about the dynamic landscape of regulatory reporting requirements. Your responsibilities will encompass process enhancement, governance, and oversight. You will engage with a variety of stakeholders, including Operations teams, Project Management teams, Technology, Brokers, Vendors, Industry Associations, and Compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and lead for EMIR, ASIC, MAS, FMIA Derivative regulatory reporting, and MIFID transaction reporting to fulfill ongoing reporting obligations.
  • Analyze and interpret forthcoming regulations and new Derivative products that affect the team and operational models.
  • Lead change management initiatives for new or revised regulations.
  • Act as an SME, ensuring comprehensive knowledge of reporting requirements, regulations, and processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements by reviewing existing workflows and pinpointing opportunities for increased efficiency and accuracy.
  • Oversee Control and Quality Assurance testing, developing models and conducting tests to ensure the completeness and accuracy of ongoing reporting.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external entities, including industry bodies, clients, vendors, and regulators as necessary.
  • Represent the team in committees and working groups that influence regulatory reporting.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
  • Extensive relevant work experience with significant regulatory exposure.
  • Strong understanding of Regulatory Transaction Reporting (EMIR, ASIC, MAS, FMIA Derivative regulatory reporting, and MIFID transaction reporting).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale projects and multiple stakeholders effectively.
  • Capacity to handle and prioritize concurrent assignments efficiently.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and a drive for operational efficiency.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • A collaborative team player who can adapt to a changing environment.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, lead discussions, and resolve issues.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
  • Previous experience in Asset Management.
  • Familiarity with regulatory vendors' systems.
