About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Structural Engineer to join our team at Stantec UK Limited. As a key member of our structural engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality structural input to major projects and programmes across our extensive portfolio of water frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of structural design for concrete, steel, and masonry structures
  • Carry out structural inspections and produce concise reports that define requirements for asset maintenance and modifications
  • Collaborate with other disciplines, including civil and geotechnical engineering, and mechanical and electrical engineering
  • Develop and maintain expertise in structural engineering software, including Tedds Staad.PRO, Robot Structures, or similar FEM analysis software
  • Work within a 3D design environment and provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members
Requirements
  • Proven experience in structural design for water and energy sectors
  • Strong knowledge of civil and geotechnical engineering, and mechanical and electrical engineering
  • Experience working with structural engineering software and 3D design environments
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior team members
