Job Summary

We're seeking a highly experienced Senior Privacy Counsel to lead the implementation and day-to-day management of our Data Privacy program in the EMEA region. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring compliance with global data protection laws, including the GDPR, and supporting our EU DPO, HST & CPS Europe/ECEMEA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Data Privacy program that aligns with Baxter's global privacy policy and GDPR requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior functional leaders to mobilize resources and implement the program across the organization.
  • Provide expert guidance on data protection laws and regulations to business stakeholders.
  • Handle data incidents and breaches, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and execute innovative data-driven business initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and data protection laws in the EMEA region.

Requirements

  • Law degree from an EU jurisdiction and bar membership.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in international data protection law.
  • Experience in handling data incidents and breaches.
  • Strong knowledge of global data protection laws, including the GDPR.
  • Ability to work independently and navigate complex legal issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
