About the Role

RWE Supply & Trading is seeking a talented Graduate Developer to join our team. As a Graduate Developer, you will be part of our IT functions, driving efficiency and innovation across our business. You will work closely with leading technology companies, collaborating with expert colleagues and building up your knowledge.

Our Graduate Programme has been designed to give you the chance to shape your own career path and personal development. You will be assigned a graduate buddy and a senior mentor within your field who can advise you on rotations and introduce you to key people within the finance business.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Application development
  2. Embedded IT for our commercial business such as trading of energy commodities, freight and logistics, commercial asset optimization or sales and origination
  3. Enterprise Integration focusing on the transport layer within RWEST's application landscape, working closely with other IT and business teams to optimize the systems.
  4. Market Data Solutions for decision-making, automated trading, and fundamental analysis within the Energy Trading industry
  5. Central Services positioned in middle layer (Integration) applications connecting to various other departments like BackOffice, Risk, and FrontOffice, involving incident management, automated standard service requests, working with concepts of DevOps and Squad model and migration of application to cloud-based infrastructure
  6. IT projects with business attention such as "Lead in Data" or "Lead in Cloud"
Requirements and Experiences

As well as a keen interest in the energy industry and the readiness to explore our markets and our business, you'll need:

  1. A degree (BSc, MSc, or PhD) in IT or a similar statistical or numerate subject such as Mathematics, Engineering, or Economics
  2. Fluent English
  3. A positive approach to working in a team
  4. Motivation to take on new challenges
  5. A commercial and analytical mind
  6. The ability to adapt and learn quickly
  7. An enthusiasm for developing your skills and exploring new opportunities
  8. Knowledge of at least one programming language such as C#, Java, or Python
  9. Passion for IT development and working in a DevOps environment
  10. Willingness to travel to multiple locations
