About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EDM Reporting Specialist to join our Water Quality & Environment team at Severn Trent. As a senior technical expert, you will be responsible for ensuring company-level compliance with dynamic external reporting demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive gold standard company-level compliance throughout the year, adapting to both internal and external demands at pace.
  • Deliver excellent insight into EDM data, presenting it to the business and turning it into practical application to drive and deliver opportunities.
  • Drive adherence to operational processes and guidelines through exception reporting and influencing senior stakeholders and front-line teams.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with regulatory bodies, including the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales, and OFWAT.
  • Work with wider business teams to develop, improve, and adapt compliance dashboards to meet changing demands and needs.
  • Benchmark with the wider water industry to identify and implement best practice and use experience and knowledge to influence future regulation.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for all elements of EDM reporting and compliance to permit conditions.
  • Understand and drive opportunities for improvements in EPA measures and Storm Overflow ODI.
Requirements
  • Experience of external assurance and regulatory reporting, including audit attendance.
  • Excellent ability to translate insight into compliance improvement opportunities and deliver end-to-end improvements.
  • Experience of dealing with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to present to a wide range of audiences and influence different teams to gain support and buy-in.
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and manipulate data from various sources to produce insight.
  • Good technical knowledge of waste processes (Networks and/or Recycling) and experience working in operational and regulatory environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • A full UK driving licence.
