About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EDM Reporting Specialist to join our Water Quality and Environment team at Severn Trent. As a senior technical expert, you will be responsible for ensuring company-level compliance with dynamic external reporting demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive gold standard company-level compliance throughout the year, adapting to both internal and external demands at pace.
  • Deliver excellent insight into EDM data, presenting it to the business and turning it into practical application to drive opportunities.
  • Drive adherence to operational processes and guidelines through exception reporting and influencing senior stakeholders and front-line teams.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with regulatory bodies, including the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales, and OFWAT.
  • Work with wider business teams to develop, improve, and adapt compliance dashboards to meet changing demands and needs.
  • Benchmark with the wider water industry to identify and implement best practice and influence future regulation.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for all elements of EDM reporting and compliance to permit conditions.
  • Understand and drive opportunities for improvements in EPA measures and Storm Overflow ODI.
Requirements

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in external assurance and regulatory reporting, including audit attendance. You will have excellent technical knowledge of waste processes and experience working in operational and regulatory environments.

You will be capable of presenting to a wide range of audiences and influencing different teams to gain support and buy-in. Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and exceptional attention to detail are essential.

A full UK driving licence is also required, as travel may be necessary.
