We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Mentor to join our team at Randstad. As a Specialist Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting college- and university-level autistic students to achieve their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one support to students to help them understand their academic requirements and develop essential skills such as time management, organization, and task breakdown.
- Assist students in achieving a balance between their studies and daily life, while also helping them manage anxiety, stress, or low mood.
- Support students in preparing for new experiences and building their confidence and strengths to become independent learners.
- Hold a minimum of an undergraduate degree (level 6) and have extensive training in adult autism.
- Have experience of working with autistic clients and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Be able to identify ways of helping students build on their learning strengths while maintaining a confidential and professional working relationship.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential, as well as good organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload of students.
- Flexible working hours, allowing you to select your own schedule.
- A competitive hourly rate of £28, plus accrued holiday pay at £3.38 per hour.
