About the Role

We are seeking an experienced PCB Design Engineer to join our team at Capgemini Engineering. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality multilayer PCB designs for space and satcom payload applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop multilayer PCBs with up to 30 layers for space and satcom payload applications.
  • Apply expertise in boards and design techniques for space and satellite PCB designs.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of layout design and DFM/DFA procedures, as well as various PCB qualification procedures for satcom applications.
  • Experience with IPC standard package symbol creation in Allegro & Expedition.
  • Advanced knowledge of constraints and use of the constraint manager, net, pin pair, and combination-net (Xnets) length matching.
  • Design power supply, analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits, as well as expertise in satcom payload-specific interface designs.
  • Experience with CAM setup, Gerber generation, and Gerber checking.
  • Deliver full sets of deliverables for PCB fabrication and assembly.
  • Expertise in HDI technologies, including micro vias, stacked via, via-in-pad, and back drill.
  • Knowledge of memory technologies, such as DDR, QDR SRAM, RDRAM, SDRAM, bus/interface: CPRI, XAUI, PCI, PCI-X, SATA, CPRI, USB.
  • Good academic credentials and solid background in PCB layout design, hands-on experience.
  • Experience with PCB manufacturing, DFA, DFT requirements.
  • Experience in customer interaction, project planning, and execution.
  • Experience with one or more PCB design tools, including Allegro, Orcad Capture CIS, Mentor Graphics Expedition, Dx-designer, PADS, Cad Star, Board Station RE, HyperLynx, Valor, and CAM 350.
Security Clearance

To be successfully appointed to this role, you must obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. This requires residing continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, as well as meeting other criteria and requirements.

You will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility throughout the recruitment process, including country of residence and nationality.
