Role and Responsibilities:
As an Electrical and Mechanical Repair Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing electrical and mechanical systems. Your responsibilities will encompass general and preventive maintenance, as well as repairs of various equipment, ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and executing Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules to enhance operational efficiency.
- Conducting thorough inspections and maintenance of building structures, machinery, and equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Performing repairs and preventive maintenance on all production equipment, including jigs and fixtures, to uphold high-quality standards.
- Collaborating with Mechanical and Electrical Contractors on-site, adhering to permit controls.
- Establishing work procedures and standards for electrical and mechanical systems.
- Responding promptly to machinery breakdowns and documenting production issues for future reference.
- Assisting the Technical Resources Services Department with the installation of new equipment as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
Candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Strong electrical background complemented by mechanical knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive situations effectively.
- Familiarity with machine shop equipment and production support functions.
- Proven experience in maintaining processes, equipment, and fixtures.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve production-related issues efficiently.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong decision-making skills and accountability for actions taken.

Employment Details:
Position: Electrical and Mechanical Repair Technician
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Working Hours: 36 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Overtime: 1.5x for Saturday and 2x for Sunday
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive salary with additional shift allowances, annual leave, performance-based bonuses, and a contributory pension scheme, among other benefits.
