About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Histopathologist to join our team at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. As a senior member of our department, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert histopathology services to patients, including diagnosis and reporting of biopsy and surgical specimens.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, including medical students and junior doctors.
- Contribute to the development of educational programs for medical students and junior doctors.

Requirements
- MB BS or equivalent qualification.
- Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists or equivalent qualification.
- Full registration with the General Medical Council and a licence to practise.
- Experience in histopathology and cytology, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
