About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Histopathologist to join our team at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. As a Consultant Histopathologist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our pathology services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and timely histopathology and cytology reports to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of pathology services, including quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in clinical governance and audit activities to ensure high standards of patient care.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in histopathology and cytology, staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies.

Requirements

  • MB BS or equivalent qualification.
  • Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists or equivalent.
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council and a licence to practise.
  • Experience in histopathology and cytology, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
