Mental Health Legislation Administrator

Join NELFT NHS Foundation Trust as a Mental Health Legislation Administrator and play a vital role in ensuring the effective delivery of mental health services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Mental Health Legislation Office, ensuring that all aspects of mental health legislation are implemented and maintained in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide administrative support to the Mental Health Legislation Office, including maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and coordinating meetings.
- Assist in the development and implementation of mental health policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and Trust policies.
- Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of mental health services.
- Provide training and support to staff on mental health legislation and policies, ensuring that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and obligations.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of mental health legislation and policies, ensuring that they are up-to-date and relevant to current practice.
- Experience of working in a mental health setting, preferably in an administrative role.
- Knowledge of mental health legislation, including the Mental Health Act 1983 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports, with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
