About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Polytec Personnel Ltd. As a Graduate Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative mechanical products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical products using SolidWorks CAD software
  • Assess the mechanical feasibility of new concepts and develop computational fluid dynamics (CFD) solutions
  • Work with existing company products to improve their design and functionality
  • Research and develop new processes and technologies to improve product development
  • Interact with customers to provide technical solutions and support
Requirements
  • First or upper second-class degree in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or a related field from a reputable university
  • Proficient in the use of SolidWorks CAD software
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to deconstruct complex problems
  • Passionate about good design and committed to delivering high-quality results
  • Knowledgeable in a range of manufacturing and fabrication processes
  • Workshop experience and an interest in making things
  • IT literate with capabilities in Microsoft Office, LabVIEW, and MATLAB
