Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert guidance on database creation, monitoring, and maintenance to ensure database recoverability, integrity, security, availability, and performance.
  • Lead the identification, assessment, and implementation of new and upgraded database software.
  • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of database technologies, including Oracle and SQL.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Policing Directorate to ensure database upgrade activities are completed in accordance with procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with modern data and BI practices to facilitate better use and management of force data.
Requirements:
  • Recognized certification in database technologies, such as Oracle or SQL.
  • Detailed working knowledge and experience in benchmarking performance for assigned services.
  • Proven ability to manage database upgrade activities and lead the identification, assessment, and implementation of new and upgraded database software.
  • Expert knowledge of databases and ability to provide guidance on database creation, monitoring, and maintenance.
